What I Wish More People Knew About Getting Healthy: The Full Series

Over the past month, I've been sharing a series about What I Wish More People Knew About Getting Healthy.

After years of working on my own health and coaching other people, there are a few things I wish more people knew: You don't have to change everything at once. Healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated. Your workouts don't have to leave you exhausted to count. And progress isn't always going to look the way you expect it to.

So I put all four together in this series:

1. You Don't Have to Do Everything at Once
Trying to overhaul your entire life on Monday can make it harder to create changes that actually stick. Start with something you can repeat and build from there.

2. Healthy Eating Doesn't Have to Be Complicated
You don't need a perfect meal plan or a kitchen full of complicated ingredients. Simple, satisfying meals built around the basics can go a long way.

3. Your Workout Doesn't Have to Be Hard to Count
A workout doesn't have to leave you exhausted or sore to be worthwhile. Short workouts, easy movement, rest days, and adjusting your workout to fit your life all count.

4. Progress Isn't Always Going to Look Like Progress
Progress isn't just what happens on the scale. Sometimes it's getting stronger, responding differently to setbacks, doing less when your body needs it, or finding a way of living that you can actually sustain.

If you've been feeling like getting healthy has to be complicated, overwhelming, or all or nothing, I hope this series gives you a different perspective.

You don't have to do everything.

You just have to keep moving forward in a way that works for your life.
